Trick or Treat '08

Every Halloween, we feast on Spaghetti. And garlic bread - to keep the vampires away.
I always had spaghetti on Halloween when I was a kid - so we're just carrying on the tradition.
I dolled the girls up (as Dorothy and Cinderella) and we headed to the Fall Festival. They had a lot of fun - bounces houses, games, candy galore.
In fact, they had so much fun that they passed out in the backseat of the truck at about 7:45. I had to wake them up to go trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.
We don't get many kids in the neighborhood, so the Lanford girls made out like bandits. Our neighbors were doling out candy by the handfuls in hopes of being "done" and turning out their lights.
Here is Chad with the girls. He dropped us off in the neighborhood and ran home to get his gear on. Then he attempted to jump out of the woods and scare us as we were walking home. Carys was scared to death, but Cailyn was so tired, it didn't really phase her.

After a post-candyfest bath, we all snuggled up for a not-so-scary movie on the couch. The girls fell asleep pretty quickly.

They had a grand time. And it was fun to see Cailyn participate this year. Her meek little "Twick o' Tweet" was so sweet. And Carys was just plain excited -- and already looking forward to next year.

What adorable costumes. I like yours too Chad! I'm glad Halloween was a success. Spaghetti was always our Halloween meal growing up too.

The girls were SOOO cute! I am glad you found the ruby red slippers and the silver "glass" slippers! That totally makes their costumes perfect. We always have fun hanging out at the festival with you guys...even though it's spent mostly keeping up with the kids bouncing from one game to the other! The kids had a great time!
