the great birthday weekend wrap-up

Friday was the big day. We started off with Carys' favorite breakfast (chocolate chip pancakes with Cool Whip), and a made a wish. The Princess got dressed - and she couldn't forget her beautiful birthday tiara. She opened presents. (This is Birthday Barbie - very cute!)And more presents.... And after dinner and bath - even MORE presents....She had birthday cupcakes, lovingly prepared by Mommy. And made another wish....

Saturday, we went to a Christmas party.
She was so excited, in fact, that she woke us all up Saturday morning, asking: "Is it my party NOW?" We explained to her that HER party was in 1 more day...but we would have fun that night too. And she had a blast!
And this is how I found her after she had been in bed for about 30 minutes. She was so exhausted. I'm not sure why she decided to unzip her jammies to her belly button...

Sunday...PARTY TIME! :)
A Princess has to be ready for her public...
Opening more presents....Her cake, in the making....
And in case you're wondering, Yes, I can make this exact cake for a Bachelor Party.
But Barbie has to get dressed for Carys' Princess Fiesta. I meant to spend more time on her, but I didn't get the chance. Maybe next year :)I think she liked her cake.....She was so proud of it. She loved her cupcakes also. She taste-tested quite a few after she ate her cake. (Can we say sugar overload???)What a big girl. I seriously cannot believe we just celebrated her third year. Sigh. The after-party glow.
She had so much fun yesterday. She went to bed wearing her new Cinderella jammies. She couldn't stop talking about her party. Her friends. Her presents. Cheesin' it up with Mama. Happy Birthday, Sweetpea!

And I can't post a ton of pictures without including Cailyn.
During her cold, I gave her quite a few Vicks Vapor Baths. She felt better, but came out smelling like a little old lady. Not that all little old ladies smell like Vicks, but my great grandma always did...

Today, Cailyn is 6 months old. And the proud owner of TWO brand new teeth. One came thru Friday, the other popped thru Saturday. What a big girl. Six more months and we'll be celebrating another birthday!

What a great couple of parties! I had a Barbie cake when I was little. I love Carys' crown. Those cupcake cakes are so cute too.
Bubble head Cailyn and the proud owner of 2 new teeth :) Too cute!

Very cool Barbie cake! I am super impressed, girl!! Those are cute pictures, and it looks like Carys had a great birthday weekend. Way to pull it all off. Too funny about Cailyn having the same teething rash as Emma. I have NEVER seen anything like it before either, so I am amazed that both our girls get that kind of rash.
