My Petite Sweetie

Cailyn had her 2-year check-up today, and I wasn't surprised. I knew she hadn't put much weight on since her last visit in December. Which I don't fully understand, because she eats everything I put in front of her.

She tips the scales at 25 pounds, 12 ounces. Granted, when kids turn two, the nurses no longer require them to be naked on the scale at our pediatrician's office. So that weight includes her clothes & diaper. I'm estimating she's right at 25 pounds instead of almost 26.
And she's 34" tall.
She's in the 25th percentile for weight, and 50th for height.

At Carys' 2-year check-up, she weighed in at 31 pounds, and was 36" tall.
Just for comparison's sake!

just to put it all in perspective, my cat has weighed as much as 18 (he's a little lighter at 16 since it's hot)...so, it's hard to imagine that when i pick him up, she doesn't weigh much more...

There is nothing wrong with being petite. At least she is healthy. I wish I were so lucky. Hopefully she will stay on the smaller size as she gets older. She will be one of the lucky ones who can pull anything off of the store clothes racks and it will look great on her!

That's only 6 pounds and 2" in the difference between the two, Skye! See, they are both perfectly healthy and wonderfully different. Cai takes after the Lanford side and Carys, well.......I'm with Aunt Carmen and guessing she has the Rogers genes. BTW: What was in that little bitty diaper to weigh a full pound?!

I love seeing the similarities and differences between the kids. It's what makes them each special :)

It's funny how siblings can be so different! Ceci and Graci are actually about the same size, but seem so different in terms of where their roly poly sections are!
