Carys in Concert

As soon as I got home from dropping Carys off at school yesterday, I got the dreaded call that she wasn't feeling well and wanted to come home. Bless her little heart.
Granted, I knew she didn't feel well, but she insisted that she had to go to school because they were practicing for their Christmas concert later that night. She's been practicing SO hard and didn't want to miss the big performance. She wasn't running a fever or anything, so I took her in and gave her teacher a heads up to call me if needed.

After a lazy day of DVDs, lots of ginger ale, chicken soup & saltines, and rest, she felt well enough to participate in her concert. She was still feeling a little out of sorts, but she was so excited to get all dolled up & sing her little heart out. You'll notice some yawning. And some blatant disregard for lyrics and constant dancing. And even some late hand gestures. And lots of cuteness. She just loves being the center of attention.

Immediately afterwards, she came home & crashed in her pajamas.

She's feeling better today, but still a bit wonky. Keeping my fingers crossed that everyone is well for Christmas!

Awww...She looks so christmasy and cute. I love the constant dancing. I don't know how she keeps from getting dizzy. Good job Carys!

I am so sorry she got that stomach bug:( I hope it steers clear of the rest of the Lanford household...that is the worst! She did very good considering the songs sounded very difficult! Way to go Carys...next, Broadway!

Just like her mommy! Remember your kindergarten dance(a serious nutcraker version) and the audience is absolutely cracking up because one little girl (YOU) was at the wrong end of the stage doing a solo version?? To her own music! with her own little happy dance! You're both such....individuals!
