Pre-School Open House!

You would not believe the excitement at our house this morning!
First, Carys & Chad headed out to see Miss Marie - Carys's speech therapist. Carys hasn't seen her since the end of the school year, so she was pretty excited.
I was told she did and excellent job. So excellent, that she is being released from therapy. Talk about a proud Mama & Daddy...we are thrilled. She has done a great job using her words and forming them the way she should.

After that, she went with Chad to the doctor (routine blood draw) and was a perfect little helper.
Cailyn & I met them at Bojangle's afterwards for a preOpen House celebratory breakfast. Yummy.

Carys was so excited throughout breakfast -she kept asking if it was time to go to her new school yet. Are my friends there? Is my teacher Mrs. Byrd there?
So off we went...and what a great time we had!

Carys, sitting in her seat and drawing a picture about her Summer vacation. She was thrilled, despite the look on her face in this picture. She has a little cubby for her backpack (they actually DO need backpacks - ha!) and her very own supply box with her name on it.

Playing outside after her classroom tour and introduction to the school was over. She didn't want to leave!

Ah - I see sandy Spiderman sneakers in my future. I detest sand...but I just know that I am going to see tons of it in the bottom of the van every day when I pick her up.

Cailyn joined in on the fun on the playground.

Sliding.....Weeeeeee!!!!!

I think we're going to have a lot of fun. I know Carys will. Her teacher seems really nice, and her classmates are all so much fun. Four boys and four girls - I bet they will all be the best of friends. They have a field trip planned for the Punkin' Patch in October - what fun! And they'll be visiting the fire and police stations too. What fun my little Preschooler is going to have!!!

Stayed tuned for shots from her official first day - next Tuesday. She's excited about packing her lunchbox, and I've already had a dozen requests for different things. I don't know what will actually find its way into her lunchbox.
