Back home! Finally!!!!

We landed around 12:30 last night. By the time we got our bags, shuttled back to the truck, stopped at Walgreen's for milk & cookies (Yes, Chad had to have them!), we pulled into our driveway around 2am.
We were partially unpacked at 2:45 and well on our way to sleep.
We slept in until NOON today - which is so uncommon for the parents of two tiny kiddos. But it felt SO good to have no agenda for the early part of the day.
I did go to Wal-Mart, only because our cupboards were bare. Note to self: do NOT venture to Wal-Mart on a Sunday after church lets out. Just don't.

The girls came home at 3pm, and we were so happy to see their smiling faces.
Cailyn was just waking up when they got here, so she wasn't exactly sure where she was. It took her about 15 minutes to realize this was her house - and that I was her Mommy! She went to take her shoes off & I guess it finally hit her that she was, indeed, home. And Mommy & Daddy were too. She looked at me & just started bawling! It was sad, but sweet too.
After I comforted her for a moment, she fled to Memaw, who's not a bad substitute mommy.

After dinner, we all laid down for a little nap. But didn't wake up until much later than we anticipated. Oops!

I swear, the girls seem so different to me in one week. Cailyn is just rambling on & on about things she did this week. She's very excited about seeing the Backyardigans live - she dances every time she talks about it.
Carys can't stop telling me how much fun she's been having. And then she asks: So, what are we doing tomorrow, Mommy?

Um.
I'm pretty sure catching up on sleep & laundry are not what she had in mind.
